While the license will be given to you at the time of application, it will not be valid until the completion of the 3-day waiting period. Pennsylvania law requires a minimum 3-day waiting period after application is made before license can be used. Do not apply unless you are within 60 days of your wedding date. Application must be made sometime within 60 days of wedding date. Marriage licenses are valid for 60 days from date of issuance and may be used anywhere in Pennsylvania. The three-day waiting period does not begin until both applicants appear in our office to complete the application process.
